RIP - Gary O'Leary

Today 3 May 2019 the club lost a longstanding player . His name is Gary O’Leary who played for the club for many seasons . A real “one “ club man . A forward who was uncompromising in play as he was in real life . A great “Ironside” with the proverbial tattoo. It has been said that he was the “Vinny Jones” of rugby .

He played in an era where the club attracted such characters. A group who covered all walks of , far too many mention , who loved the spirit of rugby and maintained a wonderful ethos about the game . Many friendships had . A sad loss to humanity , his family , friends & Battersea lronsides RFC .. RIP My good friend .

Funeral arrangements to follow.
