VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Ironsides is a club that we are all proud to be part of!

The 2015-16 & 2017 seasons have been incredible – with the celebration of 20 years of Junior Rugby at the club last year then huge success across all age-groups and sections - the ladies coming 2nd in their league against the likes of Harlequins, our U14s winning their tour not conceeding a single try and our U21s retaining the Surrey Bowl title for the second successive season.

None of this success would be possible without the fantastic group of Volunteers that make our club what it is today.

We ALWAYS welcome support from parents and would be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to help in any capacity. JOB SHARING IS ENCOURAGED!

We have some key roles that we are actively looking to fill..

Juniors Treasurer
The Junior Treasurer’s role entails looking after Ironsides Rugby’s Junior Section accounts and financial dealings, reporting to the Juniors Management Committee.  This involved Accounts and Finance, Bookkeeping and Management Reports.  Finance experience a big plus!

Juniors Publicity Officer
Supporting the Web Content team with Content, Copy, News and Social Media, as the Juniors Publicity Officer, you spread the good news of Mini and Youth rugby at Ironsides. You will promote the Club and our interests to members and the wider public which raises our profile and ultimately our success.

Juniors Membership Secretary Designate
A community club is nothing without its members. Supporting the Membership Secretary you will help manage existing junior memberships, but also actively encourage new ones and deal first hand with volunteers and the members themselves.

Minis Festivals Secretary
As Minis Festival Secretary you will be responsible for setting up matches and festivals for all the teams in the Minis section of Ironsides Rugby (U6 to U11). Parents and players will rely on you to ensure the Festivals provide the right standard of rugby, reflecting the needs of the Club.

First Aid Officer
You will be an experienced, qualified, First Aider who is well organised and dedicated to supporting Ironsides Rugby.  Your role will be to review risk assessments, ensure that there are sufficient skilled volunteers to cover the Club’s First Aid requirements and that they understand their responsibilities and make sure first aid equipment is sufficiently stocked.

In addition to the above, we are always looking for Referee’s and First Aiders in all Age Groups. Speak to your Manager about how to get involved.

Please check out the website for more detailed information on the above positions, or contact Rachel, Mini’s Secretary, on mini.secretary@ironsidesrugby.com for these and all Volunteer opportunities
