Ironsides Ladies
Welcome to Ironsides Ladies, we are always looking to encourage new players to join us! Whether you are experienced or totally new to the game we have something for everyone. As well as many experienced players we also have a lot of ladies that had never picked up a rugby ball before joining us. We are very committed to supporting and developing all players and experience levels within our team.
The Ladies and Mens teams form the Senior Section within the club, we are incredibly welcoming, supportive and we have a GREAT social calendar.
Over the Autumn/ Winter we train on at 7pm on a Tuesday and Thursday at Battersea Ironsides Clubhouse (SW17 OAW) just off of Openview.
Pre-season training starts at 7pm on a Tuesday and Thursday at Garratt Green (SW17 OJG) and continues there until late September.

Our highly competitive First team was founded in 2016, since then we have gone from strength to strength. Our team numbers more than doubled last year and so our second team was born.

- Promoted following our first season from NC3 League 2016/17
- Finished 3rd in NC1 League 2017/18

Dear All,
After much consideration and with overwhelming support from members we have decided that the Mini tour should go to Butlin’s Bognor Regis.
We expect this meets with approval from the majority of the club as meticulous research was conducted to choose the best option. We are essentially constrained by the size of the club and which resorts can host our numbers to avoid playing against each other. Bognor promises to offer the variety of teams, better upgraded accommodation/facilities, on site playing fields and shorter travel distances to tournament/secondary playing fields & all onsite entertainment/facilities.
Normally this is a minis tour U7 - U11 but the tour is open to U12/U13/U14 Boys & for the 1st time U13/U15 Girls. Please join us if you would like to make it a club tour.
Tour Playing Dates – Saturday & Sunday 17-19th April 2020 can be extended to Monday 20th to stay in the resort if required for an extended break.

- Shorter Travel Time from London under 2 hours by train, Bus or car
- On site fields with short walking distances/travel times to secondary pitches
- Brand New Hotel type accommodation
- Better selection of accommodation – Resort recently underwent a multi-million pound uplift
- Brand New £40 million pool construction project completed last year
- New Larger Tournament Format - 1st Year of new format expected numbers @ 5000 capacity so we avoid Ironsides v Ironsides games
- The size of tournament will Rival Minehead which has 6000 capacity
- Resort has a smaller foot print than Minehead with more entertainment
- Does not clash with Broomwood Football allows more tourists who normally miss tour.
- Better Price Point by £10 per room per person – for a higher quality of accommodation
- Cater for a wider selection of teams of U7 to U14 – Boys & U14 & U15 Girls
- Potentially introduce Buses again for tourists due to shorter journey time – or train 1h 37min from Clapham - Create Tour Vibe
Please get your parents to save the date and further detailed info will follow. No Direct bookings can be made at this point we need to complete the club registration & payment which will take 2 weeks. Bookings can then be made directly on a link which will be distributed to all parents.
