Thursday 18th January 2017, Ironsides Juniors attended the London Sport Awards at The O2 as just 1 of 3 nominees for Club of The Year for the whole of London - the main award of the night!!
London Sport was formed by the Mayor of London and Sport England to make physical activity and sport work better for Londoners. The aim is for London to be most physically active city in the world, with 1,000,000 Londoners more physically active by 2020.
The London Sport Awards were held return in January 2017, celebrating the greatest achievements in grassroots sport across the capital. With a brand new venue - Indigo at The O2 - and a host of inspirational sporting highlights to celebrate, the London Sport Awards promise to be an exciting, unmissable opportunity to support grassroots sport in London.
There are Eight award categories - we are nominated for the prestigious Club of the Year!

Ironsides Rugby Juniors (Youth & Minis)
"Battersea Ironsides is the largest junior rugby club in the country. The club has spent 20 years providing development opportunities to thousands of children. The club now supports over a 1000 boys and girls in 13 age groups from U6 to U18, backed by over 250 voluntary staff"
The Awards Ceremony
The award ceremony is on the 19th January and will be attended by a mix of Junior section founders & newer members of the Ironsides Rugby Juniors team.
